Outermost Embrace: 21 In Truro

Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Road, Route 28, Cotuit, MA
The artists, known as 21 In Truro will be showing a collection of their recent paintings in a show titled “Outermost Embrace”. Their annual retreat on the outer Cape inspired these paintings. There the artists embrace their muse, creating unique images that give a sense of place, a feeling of the time.

Though the impetus for the paintings may come during that week, the finished pieces are often worked upon in the studios during the year. These works are as individual as the artists who create them, presenting a varied, yet cohesive exhibition.

Suzanne will use a still life set-up as the starting point to create paintings which lead the viewer's eye across and around the canvas. She will focus on creating movement through composition, color harmonies, color temperatures and textures. Oil paints will be the material of choice, but other mediums may be used. All levels are acceptable as there will be much individual instruction.
$150 / $120 for members. (Note: a $40 yearly individual membership will nearly pay for itself with registration for this class.) Call 508-394-7100 to register.
