Still Life
Original oil paintings, using the still life setup to create a mood, an atmosphere. Many are painted in my yard, using the purple door of the garden sheed as a background. The flowers from my garden often include the wild vines and plants popping up almost overnight.

In the winter months, still life setups take over my studio. I use them to tell a story or to ask a question in the painting. The still-life objects are ones that I have painted over and over during the years, familiar objects that I grew up with. The addition of fresh flowers and fruit give life.
